Thread: Reinstalling Transmission, But I Have Some Questions

On a side note, make sure the transmission still has it's dowel/alignment pins on the bell housing...bad things happen to clutches when those are missing!

I called Infiniti and the only thing he sees are 2 clips, but he did say that in his system they are referred to as springs. He said that those are the only clips/springs in that area.

It should look like this but cleaner, not rusty, freshly lubed, etc...

@Kyle, I'm almost positive he doesn't need those roll pins. If I am understanding his posts correctly.
@David99G20T, odds are the roll pins (those arrows in the image above are pointing to them) are just fine and dandy. You're likely looking for the clips that hold the TOB to the clutch fork. Not the roll pins that hold the clutch fork to the clutch pivot shaft. The clips... Let me point them out...

Correct. I was referring to the TOB clips. My tranny has been to 2 shops and I have a box with parts from one of the shops and I'm worried that one of the shops has lost those clips, because they're no longer in the tranny. Luckily my local Nissan dealership has the clips in stock.

Correct. I was referring to the TOB clips and not the roll pins. My tranny has been to 2 shops and I have a box of parts so I wanted to know what goes there since the TOB and clips were left off. Just wanted to make sure I don't leave anything out when I reinstall it.

Top-right dowel in place. Bottom-left dowel missing.

Both dowels in place but the top-right dowel is hiding behind the spacer plate.
