96 SE-R not holding Battery Charge
So just bought a b14 a few days ago and for the 2nd time it's just lost its charge. After the 1st incident I took the battery off, went to vatozone had them charge it and test it. Results/test say it came back good.
Granted it is dying while driving at 55-60mph after about 20 mins of running. Also it wont crank without a jump afterwards. Here's the description of what supposedly had been done by the previous craigslist seller.
* The A/C has recently gone out, which I suspect might be the compressor. This in turn killed the alternator
* The alternator has been recently replaced. Car runs and charges though one idler pulley sounds like it's going out.
* The driver side window has a busted window regulator (though the motor works) so the window is being held up. Passenger side window and sun roof work.
* The power steering pump lines had a leak at one point, though I have replaced one of the lines and I haven't seen any new leaks.
One of the Belts looks like it's worn out but I am not sure if thats part of the problem but my next step is to maybe remove the alternator and have it tested?
I had originally had a VE motor in mind when I originally bought this so I may go that route and eventually boost it. My main concern is just not dumping a bunch of money into something thats a somewhat cheap fix but labor intensive.
