Heated seats anyone?? (Has anyone done this yet?)
Just got done hanging out with my buddy and he told me about an aftermarket heat seating kit he got on Amazon ( Amazon.com: Dorman 628-040 Universal Seat Heater Kit: Automotive ) and he says it's great.
I know some of the P10 guys use the OEM seaters from Maxima's (Stock harness/OEM switches) but I was wondering if anyone has done anything similar with the B chassis cars or any other car for that matter. I was interested in these because from what I have been able to research, these work well (not too hot) for OEM cloth seats.
Living in Denver, CO and considering moving back to Chicago, these will be plenty appreciated when it's cold. My GTI had them, and they kind of spoiled me. For approx $130 bucks plus some time/effort I can have the two front seats with toastiness. I know it's not the right season, but it's summer and I can afford the down time as I cycle to work 99% of the time anyway. Trying to get the car to where I want it mechanically and with amenities (only thing else I really want is a 2 DIN modern smartphone friendly/USB headunit) while wrenching weather is nice.
Any insight, thoughts, feedback, or opinions are appreciated. Thanks in advance.
