Which wheel would you choose?
So, I'm looking into getting a new set of wheels for my S14. So far, I've narrowed it down to these two (unless I can find other nice ones for the same level of price, looks, quality, etc). The left one is an SSR GTV02 in Flat Black. The right one is the Enkei RPF1 in F1 Silver. Both are 17x9 (+22 offset) and fairly close in weight (Enkei is just under 2 lbs lighter and a little cheaper). Tires will be 255/40/17. Let me know what you think!

If anyone is a wiz with photoshop, knock yourself out

Edit:

Here's a comparison pic photoshopped by a friend of mine:

I like the look of the right one plus 2lbs of unsprung weight is a lot

RPF1. Cheaper, less weight and just as strong. Those choices aloeg should make it the clear winner.

However, if you are a hard parker, your choice . The onlyu downside as the hardparkers would say, is that they are played out..................whatever the hell performance being played out means..............

For reference: My street wheels (A Tech competition weight about 40+ lbs. Specs are 17x9 + 17 with 265-45-17 Auto X compound rubber (Z2s, I forgot). My track wheels, RPF1 17x9.5 + 38 with almost brand new 275-40-17 NT05 weigh LESS (by several pounts easily) than my road wheels!). The setup is also a S14 like yourself

So wider (both rubber and wheel width) and less weight and made a difference of about 1-2/10ths in acceleration.

I know what my choice would be

Not a hard parker, ha ha, far from it. I'm currently looking for my streetable set, so I've been leaning towards the SSR. (Car is still stock for now). However, once the S13's drivetrain is swapped over and I get my suspension finished up, I'll be getting a track only set. Then I would go with the Enkei. But still undecided at the moment, ha ha. I like both wheels quite a bit!

I'm trying to stick with 17s, lol. That and I'd rather not run spacers. They do look good on S14s though!

Neither are anything I would consider. Both are equally bad, so go with the cheaper, lighter, metal colored option?

Ha ha, why is that sir? Just personal taste? Ultimately I'd like some Volk RE30s, but I can't afford them at the moment.
