ok. my car has a few dents an dings, as well as a few spots of rust that are starting to concern me. but the paint is pretty much perfect. it is maroon and awsome.

i have seen the roller paint jobs......not my cup of tea. but it got me thinking, if you can thin out rustolium paint enough you could use it in a spray gun.......and i sure love me some satin black.

so my plan for the spring time is to put my 1 gallon tub of bondo to work filling in some minor dents and dings and snding out the rust sponts and filling them in as well. shaving the antenna mast hole, and anything else i can think of (maybe the 3 stripes around the car?) and then sanding it all smooth with a block sander and painting it with a gun useing thinned rustolium satin black.

^ this is satin black.............sex.

^flat black...dull, boaring, ugly.

what do you think? i think it would be better than haveing small patches of primer all over the place. i also think once the car is completely smooth, the satin black will look bead sexy. but the future plan is to have a professional painter lay down a coat of hunter/british racing green

I think satin black would look great and gives it that stealthy look. I say go for it and do a write up on it.

So what if you use this stuff as a lower layer then painting it RGB that will work fine right?

now i need to find someone who will be able to lay down a nice coating of paint. i can not have any orange peel or drips.........i cant wet sand and buff this stuff lol.

keo, you work at a body shop right? know anyone willing to just lay a coat of paint? not a hint of prep work needed by him? im willing to toss $200 in for any assitance a pro body guy would be willing to give.
