94 Gear Stacks in A 99 P11T?
Hey guys,

I have given up my search for a 99 p11T 5 speed tranny in TX. So I've looked at my options and it looks as though transferring the gear stacks from a 94 SE-R is my best option. I read that the gear stacks from any b13 or b14 is a direct swap. Is this something a novice could do or should I find someone willing to do it? It does look like the engine and tranny have been previously swapped, so what I would like to know is if the tranny is older than a 94 I can still swap the gears, but I would need to use the shaft of my 99 and if it's a 94 or newer I just swap the shaft with gears over? If any of this is incorrect please let me know. Also, how would I know if the tranny I have is from a 94 or newer? I already have the tranny, but need a little more info before starting.

Thank you for your help!

U "should" have the same internals as the b13-14 trans you just have a different case because of the way the p11 case is. So swapping should be quick and easy.

That's what I've been reading, but wanted to make sure. I also read that it's a direct swap on 94 up, but you need to use the shaft on my tranny if the tranny you are using is older than 94, anyone know if this is true? How would I know if the tranny I have is from a 94 SE-R? I'm not sure about the condition of my shaft yet. My car gradually started losing gears as I was driving and the teeth were rattling inside the tranny before I had the tranny removed.

Thank you!

I'm not sure why you need a 94 ser trans, I swapped my 93 gear stacks into a 96 case just a few months ago when my buddy killed his 3rd gear.

I swapped a p10 gear stack into a b14. I swapped the stack that contacts the differential.. Its a bit of a task if you haven't done it before but its not super difficult. Its basically a puzzle in there.

I'm guessing the "T" is for LSD? If not, I have a 99 p11 trans without LSD I've been trying to sell.... If I dont sell it, I'll be stripping the 5th gear out of it for a b13 trans..

I've read that if I use a 94 or newer SE-R I can swap the gear stacks completely over with the shaft and if I use one that's older than I can still use the gears, but I would need to reuse the shaft in my current tranny. I don't know the condition yet of the current shaft since teeth from my gears started breaking off inside the tranny and were bouncing around inside for some time before I was able to remove the tranny. I'm just worried that the shaft is also damaged and that I might need to replace it also.

der-ser92 - How much shipped to 75089? The "T" does mean it has LSD, but I can still use your tranny as long as I use a non lsd drivers side axle. I'm going to try to change the gears when I get back from vacation, but this would be a good option incase something goes wrong while transferring the gears.

Thank you!

Well if teeth are missing from one of the gears you need to figure out what gear, if it's 3rd(very common) then the stack is trash. As I stated in my other post, the stacks are not year dependant b13-b14 are swappable same goes for p10. I just swapped gears from a p10 case into a b14 case this morning.

I think the axles would be completely different. But Idk. I've worked with both nonlsd and lsd, but havent had them together to compare... I might have a local buyer for the trans anyway, but idk. he might be losing his job....
