Thread: leakdown tester

I am looking to get one to add to my tools.
Just looking for advice or experiences with these.

Is harbor freight china one good enough or do I need a specific level of quality to be wothwhile?
I am not looking to buy top of the line,snap on or whatever unless necessary,as its just for personal use not to make a living.
Any help,links would be greatly appreciated

I just modified the hose in my compression tester so it could flow into the cylinder.

I know but I want to see the actual readings too so I know where I stand and can monitor the engine 's life by periodically checking(them)

I was trying NOT to get one from HF,or spend big money either. Just somewhere in between

You want to try and get one that supports 100psi to get a accurate leakdown number but i believe the hf only goes to 10-15.
