b13 bluebird swap o2 wiring questions
Hi all,

I can't for the life of me figure out how to fix my oxygen sensor wiring. Did alot of searching, but I must be missing something here. I bought the car (92 se-r with bluebird swap using bluebird auto ecu, bluebird maf(regrounded), and skinny o2 sensor) with the swap already in it. I don't think it (o2 sensor) has ever been hooked up right. It has always had wicked rough idle and since I hooked it up to my computer I get a constant 2.5v using ecu talk. Anyway, the wires coming of the o2 are white black and red. The harness side is black, white and white/green. Which wires go to which? Which wires are signal, heater, ground....etc? Does something go straight to ground? So many questions, so much confusion. Sorry I am pretty new to the electrical side of things.
Thank youfor your help.

Was my question ridiculous to ask? Feel free to flame me if so. If not, then is it not well known since everybody goes to a JWT ecu or the like so they don't have to use the skinny titania oxygen sensor? I realize that each 02 sensor can have different wire colors. I just wish I could find a good u13 auto ecu pin out guide. I have seen some fairly incomplete ones that may help my situation though. One thing I need to know is if I need to wire up the heater wire straight to a switched 12v source, wire up a ground seperately, then wire the ecu signal to what I believe is the correct wire(white on harness side). Any direction would be awesome. I would love to get a JWT ecu or similar and go that route, but funds are hard to come by right now.

Have you tried replacing the sensor? From common wiring color schemes I'd guess Black to black, white to red, white/green to white. Replace the sensor first thing

Yes I have thought of that. I had to order one. The one I could find is from an 88 300zx turbo. It, unfortunately has a square plug. Thus I have to pop the pins out and put into another plug or cut and splice on to a different plug. I'll try when I get home and check back in here.

Well, I think I figured it out. I hope this helps others. I am using a Bosch O2 sensor p/n 13385 for the record. I connected the black from sensor to white on harness (ecu pin 19 I think). White from sensor to white/green on harness (power source I think). I then connected red to a ground (thermostat housing). I now have voltage/signal that seems to be moving up and down as it should. Not totally sure if its fixed/correct though. I still have a hunting idle problem where my timing bounces all over the freaking place between 750 and 900 like its in a safe mode or something. Oh well, idles better than it did at least.
