Driver killed while street racing

FOX 10 News | myfoxphoenix.com

The driver of a Nissan Sentra was killed as he collided with a Ford 350. Fortunately, the injuries to the father and daughter in the Ford were non-life threatening as they were both wearing seat belts.

According to the police, the driver was racing a 1964 or 65 Chevrolet pickup. They were doing at least 80-MPH in a posted area of 40-MPH. Officials are still looking for the driver of the Chevrolet.

Wow, is that a Granite SE? So sad!

Hopefully the 64/65 Chevy pickup driver is found and charged.

Take it to the track man. These cars are not that strong. All you need is one bad move and your life and your family's life can change forever. When I was younger I did it and never thought about the chances I was taking. I had some close calls that could have ended very bad. Now when I look back I realize how crazy I was. I don't even go to the hangout spots anymore. I feel sorry for the kid and his family.
