Thread: Blew my motor finally

Pretty sure I lost a piston tonight at the drag strip. Won't know how bad it is till I take it all apart in the next couple of days. Now it's time to decide what I want to do next lol.

What happened? Walk us thru it? Pics? Any oil on the dipstick?

Yes what exactly happened. I thought I blew mine once. Missed a shift. And then dead. Pulled the valve cover and I threw multiple rockers... replaced them. Dropped the oil pan picked up random peices and on the road again in 2 3 days. Cheap fix. Lol.

When you look through the #3 spark plug hole, you can see that the piston is no longer a flat surface lol.

Boost spike? Leaned out the tune....

There is nothing to see under the valve cover. It's all normal. Like I said when you look at cylinder 3, it's not all there anymore.

I'm not sure what happened yet, I'm thinking the head gasket might have gave up. Or the stock head studs lol.

No turbo here, just a 150 shot of nitrous.

If you blew the head gasket you should see chocolate milk looking fluid all over the place, dipstick and under the VC
