Definitivly yes it can be removed without removing the alt. Comes out the bottom like everyone is saying. Just loosen the the belt pivot the alt downward for slack, and start unbolting.

Just pulled my seized ac comp from my P11 this weekend. I already had it bypassed with a shorter belt. No need to mess with the alternator to get it out.
