Battery dies after 3 days of sitting, need help
alright, so first off, I have a brand new battery, i know the starter, and alternator are good. I have checked for a parasitic draw and show .00 apms on the meter, i checked that it was working by opening the door and at that time when the dome light is on i get 1.00 amps.

if i drive the car everyday the vehicle starts fine, but if i dont drive it for about 3 days, it has to be jump started, I have tested the battery and know thats good also, any ideas would be of great help.

I have a weird issue with my NX where I'll be up late at night and notice that my headlights are on. The stalk for the headlights is apparently malfunctioning, where if I just barely push it forward the headlights will go off. Apparently the tolerances are such that when it gets colder the terminals for the switch engage and turn on the headlights. I was wondering why sometimes in the morning the car would have sluggish starts. Maybe you have an issue like this?

This just happened to me with my NX. The hatch back wouldn't closed all the way and the small truck light would never turn off.

but see, with that if you hooked up a DVOM or a fuse buddy like im using you would see the amperage be excessive, which in this case im not getting that issue.

bought a se-r once from a local guy who had done a clutch recently and had the same issue... turns out he plugged the reverse lights into a body harness which caused the reverse lights to be on constantly and i just never noticed for a month

doubt its your issue... just came to mind

When you had to jump it, did you check the battery w/a DVOM and confirm low voltage? The reason I ask is because I once had an issue w/a corroded cable that would cause a no start condition.

On a side note, my B13 Sentra currently has a similar issue to wildmanes...although it probably needs a battery now, my pass.headlight stays on...I didn't notice it and of course it kilt the battery. I guess I need to check that switch too! Weird.

i didnt, ill do that the next time, but the terminals are new and have 0 corrosion on them at all, ive even tore them all apart to verify there wasnt, and applied anti corrosion spray to them as well

Upgrade your grounds, if you have a marginal ground and try to pull current through it the voltage will drop. Also what is the resolution on your meter? Will it read in the mA? If it just goes from 0A to 1A i would assume the resolution is not that great and you could have a smaller draw that will drain the battery over time.

the guage reads mA
