locks and keys
I have a car that the keys are all not the same on....for example, the ignition key wont open doors or anything else.

whats the best way to get one key for everything?
I understand it is hard to replace the ignition key.
My question is can a locksmith use the ignition key to re-key the doors...or do I have to buy a complete new lock set with ignition and doors /trunk included?

I'm pretty sure the lock cylinders can be synced to 1 key by a locksmith.

Hell I thought they were different? My car came with different keys for the ignition and locks....

Locksmith can fix that but you will have to bring all the parts to him.....unless he is mobile.

locksmiths do this kind of stuff everyday. it is the norm for them.

just call one up and tell them what you need. most of them are mobile now so they come to you.

i had a friend get his NX rekeyed a few years back and it was around $250 for everything.
