nice man, I enjoyed reading your story, I can relate in many ways with a busted 93 SE-R I have that looks like it should be sent the the scrap yard but has some tricks under the hood which makes it fun. you ever get people that dont understand the car thing ask why you did all the work to some hoop dee sentra?

sorry to hear about your bro man, sure that was tough.

the biggest complaint I get about the car is the door handle shave. even though I happen to like it there is actually a method to the madness. When I was growing up there was a couple kids in my neighborhood that owned some Nissan Master Keys. So my car was stolen a handful of time. A few times it was stripped and a couple times just for joy rides. Well at the time I thought it was a good idea to get rid of the key hole on the doors to avoid this. It has yet to be stolen since then.

And thanks man I appreciate it. It will be 6 years this month.

yea, im not a fan of the door poppers but i can understand why you do it. we have a lot of thieves here in utah as well, most of them steal hondas but, this busted sentra i speak of I actually aquired it because it was stolen, then impounded and the guy decided to forfeit the title rather than have it become a salvage title due to theft. but i just have a switch ive hidden that has to be pushed or it wont start.

Interesting, Nissan master keys.

True story, the wind closed the drivers side door of my SE-R once with the door locked and keys inside. Called a "tech" who came out with a balloon that went in between the door and the roof and a long coat-hanger with a hook on it, HE HAD THE DOOR UNLOCKED IN 20 SECONDS. I never saw anything like it. It was basically highway robbery, because he charged $120.00. If I had that balloon thingy he had I could have done it myself. After seeing how easy it was for him (he was for sure a reformed criminal prison tattoos we noticed) I sorta stopped having anxiety about that kinda thing, I just have a kill switch

Since you are here, can you explain this a little more from the article?

“I found a built Sentra on the forums for sale.... I noticed there wasn’t any oil in it, talked him down to $800, flatbedded it to the Auto Zone, dumped some Marvel Mystery Oil in it, cranked it over a few times and it started right up, no problems.”

I mean, is this true?

Yea its true but I found the car on a local forum. It had a "knock" noise that the guy assumed was rod knock. turned out it was just low on oil. here is the car.

I bought the car for $800, took the seat/cage/coils/sway bars and parted out all the other stuff then sold the car for 2700 pretty much back to stock.

That's crazy. So the knock from low oil was just something internal not properly lubricated? And it wasn't damaged at all after the oil was put in?
