95 P10 P0325 CEL Replaced knock sensor, no go
Have people helping me on g20.net and thought I would try here too. Just completed a 5-spd conversion on my '95, also replaced the main engine harness and ECU during the swap to manual trans units. Car is currently misfiring at idle and misfiring/hesitating badly under 2k RPM mainly while I am feathering the clutch & throttle while pulling away from a stop. If I put my foot down all the way, it revs to 4k RPM then feels like timing or fuel is being pulled and it won't rev any higher.

CEL codes were for the following items:

Crank sensor - mine is missing but I was told this would not effect driveability.
Speed sensor - trans I bought is for a mechanical Speedo, car is wired for electric. Haven't fixed this yet, again no driveability issues.
Front O2 sensor - replaced with new Bosch sensor didn't fix it.
Knock Sensor - replaced with new, off brand unit with no results.

It was suggested the knock sensor wiring was shorting to ground and so with key on ignition off connector disconnected I get 3.3 volts at the connector for both the knock sensor and at the injection harness main connector. If it is shorting to ground, it's doing so in the main harness somewhere.

Now, my question is, would this cause the driveability issues or am I chasing my tail and should look elsewhere like a sticky injector? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Are you certain all of the plugs are installed or if the pig tails didn't have the wires pulled out

For the P0325 code I have seen multiple times that is was caused by the knock sensor.

What voltage are you getting with the knock sensor connected?

Have you verified that the wire is good from the ECU to the knock sensor plug? IIRC it is pin 54

You should have 5.0 volts as reference unplugged and 2.5 volts plugged in.

Are ALL of the ground wires connected to the engine?
