Fuel tank fuel pump cover - bolt size?
Gotta find my calipers but before I do that I wanna ask if anyone knows the fuel tank fuel pump cover bolt size? There are 6 of them and they are all bigger than M4 but I'm not sure the exact diameter or thread pitch. They are small philips head machine screws that round out easily when you try to take them out

I'm curious of the same thing before I grind grooves in them so I can put my fuel pump in.

M8x1.0mm would be my guess, but I am not positive. I may be able to check tonight if I can get some time to hit the garage.

Do they not have a 8mm head on them also?

the tank bolts are 10mm x 1.25, but I'm wondering about the fuel pump access plate, the 6 philips heads that hold the plate to the tank. Anyone got a clue?

When I say tank bolts I'm referring to the underside 10mm diameter thread x 1.25 pitch bolts that take a 14mm socket, the access plate bolts are I believe 6mm x 1.00 and take a 10mm socket, but I'm looking for the plate below that with the 6 philips heads that integrate the fuel level sending unit and molded connections for the fuel feed and return hoses.

Edit: I am pretty sure the access plate cover bolts are M6 and the fuel pump cover/metal piece that fits over the molded piece are M5. M4 was too small, and I had water pump studs that I tried that were too big, and I am pretty sure those are M6. Gonna order some M5 from mcmaster and see how they work out
