I just siphoned a half tank out of my b14. Pulled the return line and went in with a small diameter hose. Got some gas in my mouth at first but it worked well after that.

Grrr. I need to do this. Haven't had my car running since April 2009.

I ended up doing it the way Eggman described. Worked like a charm and drained everything out of the tank.

So: Back seat taken out, jumper wire from the battery to the pump, hose from the fuel filter into a gas can? Offer "free gas" to that neighbor you hate in an effort to be more neighborly? Is this about right?

Lol, yup. If you have a power probe u can use that to jump the pump or a battery and some wire will work. I unplugged the sending line from the sending unit and ran another line from there out the car and into a bucket, didn't want to run the gas through the hard line to the bay.
It was quite simple and is defiantly the best way to go about it.
