yeah, well tedious is a good word for it...I was pretty confident that the orings was gonna fix this it just stinks having to drain the oil take the filter off,and then theres a PS bracket that has to be removed to get the filter mount off.
None of the bolts are easy to get to.
I also removed the passenger axle to have some room to work though.

Zero room in this area, especially for fat hands.

Oy! I'd love to not leak oil but I'm not topping off a butt load and said F it. Maybe I'll get back on it some day. Good luck man!

My B13 had a pretty consistent oil leak from around the oil pan gasket from the moment I installed the new engine. Despite having installed the engine outdoors, replacing struts and brakes in 15F weather before windchill, it took an entire year of driving / racing and having the car put away indoors for the winter before I finally got around to fixing the gasket. Cleaned up the mating surfaces, let some fresh RTV cure for 24 hours before refilling the oil. Went from having a consistent leak (to the point where I had two layers of cardboard on the floor under the engine) to nothing at all!

Sometimes I kick myself for having the ambition to tackle the most major projects, but putting anything that doesn't affect the car's functionality on the backburner forever.

Nice. Yes I'm guilty of the same thing as well.

I wonder if I have a leak from the oil filter mount also. I know it's leaking from the pressure sensor, but there seems to be some coming from higher also. I hate working in that area.

Update...
It was the filter mount right at the top bolt. I could not find any cracks visible, and I looked really good.
It must have been seeping through the cast aluminum somehow.
I replaced it with one from Miko and its good to go now

Awesome. Have you had it off before? Maybe a nick in the mating surface or something?

both mating surfaces were perfect. That part was a spare that I had installed a while back,so I dont know the actual origin of it.
Its in the garbage now so I dont try to install or sell it

Re: The Oil Leak Thread
I think I've found the source of my oil leak. Looks like the oil pump cover.

I currently have the worn out O-ring @ the distributor. It isn't too bad but enough to annoy me and make me hose off parts below it and keep checking/adding oil. I add maybe 1/2 quart every 1,000 miles so its minimal but annoying.
