my prothane MM alternative.....
so upon inspecting my 17 year old motor mounts.....the pass and drivrs side mount were garbage.....the front dogbone and rear x member already have es inserts, but that wasnt good enough for me....
so after waiting to see if anyone in the classifieds were selling peices of a prothane set; both side mounts, i had no luck. but even after asking serban to split up a set of prothanes with no luck i found something i thought i would try......while searching a bit i found some sttuff like this....
http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&safe=off&q=diy+solid+motor+mount+window+weld
sooo.....i thought i would give it a try
i did do both mounts but before i decided to take pics of my work
look at the gaps in the rubber

oh wait even better, its all craked off, just resting in there
[img][/IMG]
this is the stuff i used...bought at autozone for 16$
[img][/IMG]
and the filled in mount, all cracks, and gaps are all gone aftewards...and tried to smooth out as much as possible ,but this **** is SUPER messy..

so this only cost me 16$ and im waiting to drive my car to see the difference....with the NEW urethane it feels harder than the stock rubber did..and will post with updates as to how much better the slop in the motor is
