Thread: Have quiet tires?

Trying to find out which are the quietest tires. What do you have? Mine are loud as hell on my P11. Looking for 17". Chime in please.

How quiet your tires are also depends how susceptible your car is to general road noise. Being in a G20 they shouldn't be that loud unless there's something wrong. Are they chopped? (uneven treadware in a spot)

Tires are pretty even.

I've only ever really had one set of tires was was any louder than normal. The Falken Azenis RT-615 were kinda loud once they were low on tread. The dozens of other tires I've run have all been pretty quiet.

Hankook Optimo H727. I have them on my Neon in a 14" size. They're like silk with very little road noise. They're really not a performance tire, though. Definitely in the touring category. As a bonus, they're decent in the snow. Wear has been excellent. I'm not sure if they have the size you're looking for, nor whether the size difference will effect the noise, but they're worth a look.

That doesn't surprise me. I've been driving for a long time (35 years...:ugh. These are the quietest tires I've ever owned. If you put these on a Tesla, all you'd hear would be wind noise...no really. The ride is awesome too. They actual make my POS Neon suspension acceptable....

The Kumho Solus tires that came with my B13 were some super quiet tires. Def. high and fancy touring tires because they sucked once I turned a wheel.

re11's are quiet for a performance tire

If it's a loud, squealing noise accompanied by smoke try easing off the gas pedal a little bit. Just thought I'd throw that out there.
