Thread: standard to intermittent wipers

i have a 98 b14 with standard wipers and I'm curious if i can just install the intermittent amplifier and the 3 wiper option switch to have that option? or will the wiring harness not support it? i have the switch already, i just need the amplifier... if thats all i need. the amplifier i believe should be under the dash behind the glove box.. correct?

My guess is that the harness is the same and you will just need to swap the stalk and amplifier. You will need to browse the manual to confirm.

Like this? Variable Intermittent Wiper Conversion

I actually got under the dash and took out the glove box along with the blower motor and air box so I could see everything and the harness is intact different. Looking at the schematic I see why now, if there was a plug but no amplifier no power or signal would get to the wiper motor, it would stop at the empty plug. So I will be wiring the amplifier myself into the harness. All the necessary wires are I fact there and the switch plug is the same for both switches

I need to do this as well. I wonder if GregV has the part.
