Avenir B14 swap issues lol
Okay the car starts up like a champ but dies quickly but suffocates while its dying. Not getting this bad boy to idle is m main concern. If anyone has had these symptoms before or have a solution i would greatly appreciate the assistance!

SYMPTOMS: Smoking from the header side, spark plugs wet fouled, Smoke smells like fuel, its suffocating(Cant find leak or lack of air), starts at 2-2.5k rpm then idles down, backfires sometimes and that's it so far...

Specs: Has FPR set at 3psi, all vacuum hoses connected like the diagram in library, New distributor(wires, plugs, cap&rotor), tried setting the timing but i get same results or worsens, all gasket are new, up to date tune up. and that's it. (T25 turbo stock)

Thanks for looking!

The yellow is your problem, lol! You're right, it's suffocating. If you found that picture to reference, read the thread it's in and learn. I battled a no idle issue for 4+ years! The thread that picture is in solved my problem.

Your iacv regulator which you have looped together need to be connected to the iacv! That's your major issue I'm sure. And the iacv breather, connected AFTER the TB??? Umm, how? The TB is bolted to the intake manifold. It can't possibly be after the TB unless connected to the IM somewhere. That one was MY issue and should be just BEFORE the TB on the charge pipe.

And your FPR set at 3psi? That's a certain issue! Should be roughly 40psi.

i meant before the TB. Where does the IACV/Air Reg, plug into im a visual person. I noticed you made a nipple on the silicon what hose was that for? The breather?

******* Nevermind i see what your saying lol Thanks for the insight ***********

IACV regulator port hoses should also have an air temp sensor plumbed with a pigtail coming off it. It opens and closes with warm/cold engine air temps. It works with the iacv and MAF feeding more or less fuel depending on air temps; faster/slower idle speed ;-)

The other one, the iacv breather goes before the TB...just as you now see where I plumbed it on my silicone coupler. That feeds metered pressurized FRESH air for the IACV to essentially breathe, and allow an idle.

If I'm reading your question correctly, there should be a pigtail hanging down from the area of the iacv/oil filter (high port) which will really only dangle as low enough to plug into the air regulator sensor. It has a thermal strip coil inside, works like an electric choke on a carburetor.

And as nsusammyeb said, could be a horrible vac leak! Lol! Could be coolant temp sensor as well. Or any and all combination of anything mentioned :-D Diagnosing can be a SOB but from my experience you'll learn so much in the process :-)
