Thread: ser inner tails on an xe

Saw a post by someone that did it. i know holes need to be drilled to drill mounting holes in the trunk. but what i want to know is if anyone has done this was there a harness in the trunk to plug in to the ser tails? i don't have an ser to look at to compare and there aren't any in the junk yards to get a whole trunk from..

Some 4 doors come with the inner tail lights GXE's and some SE sentras you will have better luck with finding those than an actual SE-R in the junkyard

I didn't know that. Only b13s I've seen in two states at several junk yards were 2 & 4 door xe models so far.

Harness isnt the same unfortunately.

Harness aside, you wont be able to use your key anymore to open the trunk, if you put the lights in a regular trunk.

I did this to my 4 door and im able to use the key through the light to open. I couldn't find a se-r or GXE lid back then, so i made the holes to add the lights and ran wires from the tail lights to the inners. Harness is different :-(
