Big cam/power brake options?
I've never been able to use power brakes with the BC3 cams in my car. The car runs fine, but when you try to drive it, it will randomly stall and quit. This is due to vaccum issues caused by big cams which is normal. I'm wondering what others here have done to keep their brakes functioning with the big cams. I had mine blocked off for years, but I'm wanting to try and make it right if I can, without spending TOO much money.

What! ?????

your car should never stall Aaron. Well mine used to stall at lights etc.. but that issue was resolved after PROPERLY setting my base idle. Maybe check base timing and your idle timing table. Should be 15deg all the way if IRCC

Yeah all is good, and like I said with the vacuum line capped their is no issue. Only with the line connected to the brake booster.

Oversight lol... I'd say your booster is leaking or its grown in size X5 and sucks the life out of the engine haha

Same here. I've had JWT S3, S4, C2, Tomei, N1 cams etc.. never heard of it effecting the brakes.

the motor is stalling is for some other reason. Raise your idle. What is set at now? Must be loping around 500RPM to stall. What about driving on the highway at 70mph, and you come up to a tractor trailer doing 45mph. Still no power brakes? The car stalls right away? It shouldn't if you're in gear

No experience with big cams like that, but you could try adding a vacuum reservoir.

I had similar problems that resolved after meticulously setting TDC and base timing/idle. Now there are no problems. DET with s4
