Thread: Salt has hit the roads, B13 officially hibernating in the garage. Anyone else?

they salted the roads here like crazy in SE PA today because it rained then turned to snow for a whole 10 minutes. Just was out in my Altima and the roads are white with that brine and salt is everywhere! UH! Though almost making it to December isn't too bad, I'd imagine many of you already have done this.

I just disconnected the battery, drained the radiator (because I use mostly water as coolant) and put in a buncha new air fresheners, lol. Going to wash and wax where it sits next week then dry it off and put my car cover over it. Then it's bye bye for awhile.

Anyone else?

Wow, so I take it your from up further north. I made it almost to December without seeing any road salt, but last night its like they freaked and dumped it everywhere.

i would take it to the car wash and get an undercoat cleaning then wax it and put her away. mines have been hib for the last year lol

I may do if it rains and washes away all the salt and then is dry the next day. That sound of that salt crap hitting up inside the wheel well just gives me the creeps

spray some oil mix under your car. we do it to preserve our cars up north

No ''gem'' here, I drive mine no matter what.

I'm up north Well not too far from the Mason-Dixon line, but still get snow. What exactly is an oil mix?
