Thread: Oil loss, consumption, burning possibly

after doing some blackstone research looks like ill just be going with my first choice castrol edge. dont know what to think about the new titanium edge, looks fancy lol but apparently wears rings slightly more.
since i changed my oil every 3,000 miles or earlier im thinking the RP didnt have a chance to break down too much. i have a magnet drain plug and never really saw much attached to it. just bugs me to see the level drop every so often.
never tried amsoil before, altho i heard it works great! i am on a college student budget however

I just bought a 5 quart jug of that Valvoline. Going to give it a shot, you guys talk about it so much.. (have been using Mobil-1 synthetic for 12 years)

my dad loves valvoline, i havent tried it before. i use the their lsd gear fluid tho. why maxlife and not the sythetic synpower?

MAXLife has special seal conditioners for higher mileage engines.

When I used Mobil 1 full synthetic my engine would leak like a sive. It does not help that the engine has 233k miles on it and is original from the factory but it happened with Mobil 1 full synth and it went away with Valvoline MAXLife full synth.
