has your crank pully center separated from the outter rail before?
I thought my alt was bad cause it wasent charging but 3 alternators later I seen the belt would stop and go all jerky but no squeeling so I further inspected the belt. Upon inspection I noticed the belt not spinning but the car was running. I then went ti try and touch the crank and I felt it spinning but only the nut and center of the crank. The outter lip that has the belt groove has a divider seam that separates the outter and inner crank and thats where it broke free from the center.
My question is has anyone ever seen or heard about a crank pully in this condition? Did it damage anything? And can a crank pully be replaced without power tools?
