Thread: Cant Find The Right BALLS!

Trying to change my ball joint and autozone does not carry the right ones. they too smalll.... anyone have this problem or know where i can get some right ball joints?

So in order to replace the ball joints you need to remove the LCA then press out the old ball joint and press in he new one? Obviously using a shop press.

i used a hammer to take out the old one. A press at autozone is 100bux to rent so i will find another way to pop the new ones in

You mean you just wacked it out? HHHMMMM So how would you go about pressing the new one in? What if you wacked on it with a BFH, from the underside.

HHHMMM i may try that method, i was just gonna replace the whole LCA being that they don't cost too much more than just a ball joint. AND you gotta remove and reinstall the LCA.

I used a "bfh" to get them out. Also, to put them back in I used a table vise.

I just ended up replacing the whole control arm. The bushings on the inside were cracked and torn so i'm glad i did.

It's super easy to do.
