Thread: B14 exhaust system recommendations?

i know theres old threads out there about B14 exhaust systems but i wanted to get some up to date recommendations, and i want to know what systems have worked best with vvl motors. i have an sr20ve with n1 cams and im using a 2.5in custom exhaust thats straight through from the headers to an old vibrant n1 muffler i found in a local auto shop. no cat or resonator, sounds good even with vvl engaged but its really loud and its pieced together by 6 clamps after a spinout ripped the old muffler out. i could weld it but i want the whole thing stainless seel thats one piece besides the ball socket or connection before the beam. thanks for any recommendations!

I don't think there's been any recent changes or breakthroughs made on this topic since those older threads have extensively covered this. I just had to redo my catback since my old 2.5in HKS dragger setup was pretty old and starting to rust out. I went with a 3" Vibrant muffler and resonator, took it to a local fab shop and had it installed with some custom piping. Sounds great, and I love the how the flat black muffler just hides under the shadow of the bumper all stealth like.

For real? Usually I tolerate a good bit of incorrect usage of forum but this is a bit much.
