Thread: SR20 hybrid transmission

I need an advice about building hybrid transmission with gears suited for road racing...

Can i use EUDM P11-144 RS5F70A (USDM P11/B15 style) transmission with JDM JB15 VZ-R 3-4-5 gears? Can i swap these gears in or is there anything else needed?

Plus final drive from EUDM P12 RS5F70A (4.437) which i guess wont a be a problem.

No tranny guys (sounds funny) over here?

There's a reason nobody has done a "hybrid" transmission. The gears(1-4) are not swappable, they are cut straight from the input shaft.

P11 gears are not made to the shaft, well at least not 3rd through 5th. I did ask Mfactory about making some gears for the P11/B15 trannies but they would need more people interested.

I have had a couple of hybrid trannies built. First version was a SR16 1-4, P10 5th and final drive. Second version was SR16 1-4 and final drive, P10 5th. Third (and best) version 99 P11 1-4 (same gears as B13), P10 5th, and MFactory 4.785 final drive.

Well, thats not enought for me... too long.

I would like to have:

Gearbox RS5F70A (P11-144 EUDM transmission - B15/P11 style)
Final drive 4.471 (EUDM P12 QG16 RS5F70A)
1. gear 3.333 (stock)
2. gear 1.955 (stock)
3. gear 1.461 (JB15 SR16VE RS5F50V)
4. gear 1.097 (JB15 SR16VE RS5F50V)
5. gear 0.810 (AUDM N14 RS5F32A)

I would like to known if its possible to swap 3-5 gears into RS5F70A trans.

Hey Jagy, don´t know if you know, but you can also get that 4.4 FD from the primera 1.6(p11-144 QG16) and from the EUDM Almera 1.8(N16 QG18)... they both use the RS5F70A trans with that final drive...

As we are both from EU, and at least were i live they´re more common then the 1.6 P12... in fact i never even seen one...
