We start pulling everything out to do the conversion on the Firewall. also using a B13 LHD firewall

Passenger side Mount

Driverside Mount side rear close to firewall

check positioning on Both Driverside mounts, for peeps that wanna do the 4WD on the B13's and B14's

RHD->LHD No.

Plenty on LHD->RHD here in socal.

I agree that going the firewall swap route is best thou. When doing so I would suggest going from the lip down leaving the original toe-tag on the firewall.

Are you able to locate ABS parts down there as you will need to move that ABS to get the brake booster to fit proper.

Awesome thread and yes they do poor rhd-lhd conversion in Phil's. My converted delica 4x4 suffered the same dilemma as your project gti-r.

Here is where we made the cut on the firewall, also installed the LHD B13 Aircon Components, Steering Column, dash UnderBar, B13 Steering Rack, LHD Aircon Aluminum Line, mock up for now

Inside Shot with the B13 LHD Steering Column, Dash UnderBar, Aircon Ducting and Components, Blower Motor and Evaporator, we also had to ReUse and move the Hanger Mountings Points from the Left To the Right for the Blower Motor and Evaporator to mounts properly

you will see where we removed the mounting points

to where they got relocated

Used a B13 LHD Aircon line connecting to AC condensor

we also had to relocate the Hole where the SMJ and Fusebox harness would lead into the engine bay fuseboxes and relays (basically swapping the hole from rightside to leftside)
patched up rightside hole

cut out Hole and welded it into the Leftside

Next up is removing the entire In Cabin Harness and converting it for LHD, swapping out even the door sensors

harness out, converting to LHD

Corrected Harness from RHD to LHD to position properly for door sensors and seats, leading to rear hatch

swapped door sensors from rhd side to lhd side for correct driverside door sensor location
