put the second clutch on, no different. so i put the tranny up anyway and connected the clutch cable, the clutch arm pulled back so far the cable ran out of adjustment even with the clutch pedal adjusted down almost as far as the screw would go. and i had already ground back the threaded section of the cable about 1/4 to 1/2 inch and redrilled the cable bracket because JGY clutches are sh#t and require a shortened cable. i had installed a new bracket in the beginning but there was no way that was going to work so i put the redrilled one back on and that still isnt really going to work. the photo below shows how far the clutch arm has to pull back just to rest the throw out bearing on the spring diaphragm and how far the cable has to adjust back.

even with a hydro clutch i dont see how this could work, the springs are way to close to the disc for it to function properly imo

I just used a Spec CLutch for my 6 speed swap, been doing great so far. Probably close to 2k miles on it.

well its done, going with a clutch masters fx400 and spec clutch is getting sent back. i used my buddys flyhweel made by stillen and took a bunch of measurements of the spec clutch and my buddys exedy clutch to compare to and talked with greg. he agrees something is definitely wrong, seems like the problem is with the disc. i bolted the spec pp with the exedy disc and it looks just fine. bolted the exedy clutch to my flywheel just for curiosity and it would work just fine, so nothing wrong the JGY's flywheel. in fact i had to dremel the dowl holes of the spec PP to make it fit, exedy PP just slipped right on. go figure

spec has made me wait over a month and a half, given me two bad clutch, and i missed out on a job opportunity for the summer off from my machinist class... spec is lucky they are 3000 miles from me, otherwise id pay them a visit
