Thread: Avenir Swap startup issues

I finally was able to crank the car over, first idles to 1500rpm then quickly dies.
Shown Symptoms:
- Smoke and smells like hot metal and a bit of oil
- Engine light on; crankshaft sensor and knock sensor

Steps Taken:
- Checked vacuum lines they are all good.
- Replaced stock injectors (370cc)

Specs:
Stock Avenir (SR20DET)
Stock SE-R ECU and harness
No turbo electronics yet (in the works)
Everything is stock.

Clear all the codes and put it in timing mode. You need to adjust your iacv, it's out of whack. Also, check you voltage at the tps. And verify you maf is working properly.

I erased the codes and removed the piping that led to the throttle and it started rpming at 2500-3000.
