Ok guys, have the car is in the garage... what a blast... it has some work to do, quite a bit, but it´s awesome in every way...

Compared to the gti seems diferent, slow, soft but oh soo much fun to drive... i had a blast...

It feels lighter than the stock GTI, but sits quite high and soft on the suspension, but even soo, handles really nice and it´s soo much fun...

The engine is soo soo slow compared to the EU sr20, don´t know why, maybe somethings wrong, the car was parked for a few years...

But i don´t regret it, now i just have to pull my sleeves...

Not the original muffler, that may contribute to some of the power loss. Much smaller diameter compared to stock.

They do make a se 2.0 automatic, I've seen it before because my neighbor in RI had one. I'm not 100% sure if it had rear disk brakes but it was a 2.0. Also here in the US the ser say se-r over in Puerto Rico I never seen a se-r but I've seen quite a few that said classic on the trunk lid and it had pizza cutter wheels so I suspect that the classic was our ser.

Well congrats on the car. It sure is a clean car. Make the best of it

Very nice find indeed! And like Bluesteel said, that's a smaller muffler-most likely made for the 1.6L...I've seen that a lot.

First thing you need to do is take off those terrible mudflaps and send them to me! j/k

American made for sure...in Smyrna, TN.

Looks really nice.

First thing to do is pull the plastic front fender shrouds back, take a hose and spray all the dirt and leaves out of the lower door sill. Also look on that pillar above and below the door hinges for clean welds and in the lower door sill. These are the biggest SE-R killer rust spots.

There´s exactly were is starting to go... i´ve got to adress that, not very common on sunny Portugal, our cars usually are rust free...

I´ve also have to replace a bearing and a few other bits... the exhaust seems aftermarket and not 2.0... all of it... also the EX manifold is way different then ours...

Is the front wheel bearing same part number than nx2000?

Another thing, the brake, belt and another light i can´t recall stays on for a few seconds after driving, is that normal?

Also the buzzer from the open door is soo anoying, and does anyone know why does the seatbelt is in the door? just for curiosity sake? that´s so strange, we are not used to it... it´s a conversation topic wherever i go...

The reason why there are seatbelts in the door is because in the late 80's, our federal government (in all of it's infinite wisdom) decided that people weren't smart enough to put on their seatbelts. So they mandated that all cars have a passive safety system; with the B13 SE-R, Nissan decided to put the belts in the door so you could leave the belts buckled when you get in and out of the vehicle. In the S13 chassis, they had automatic seatbelts (powered sliders) on the A-pillar/roofline. This only lasted a few years until cars came standard with airbags.

That is how the seat belts are supposed to be used. You grab a hold of the two belts (one over your lap and the other across your shoulder) and you slip into the car, when you close the door, your belt is on as normal. I tried it that way and it is quite goofy but that is how the manual details how to do it. Cute pictures in the manual, also.
