Intermittent stalling
I have been searching ,and reading, and searching more...but I cant seem to find anything more than guesses as to what could be causing this issue.
Could be MAF.IACV,or CTS,but I dont want to throw parts at it,I want to diagnose it correctly and fix it.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
I have not pulled codes yet.

The engine runs flawless most of the time.
However.Every time on cold starts it immediately almost dies and the ECU catches it,and it will warm up and idle perfect.Thats not a big deal, but annoying.
I have a feeling that whatever is causing this is related to the intermittent stalling issue. It doesnt hunt,it just goes vrooom...putt,putt...and then idles up like normal...if you know what I mean.Once its warm,it starts perfect.

The intermittent stalling is something that happens when you least expect it....like pushing the clutch in at a light or stopsign.MOST of the time everything is normal, but every now and then it will stall when you come to a stop.

This is very dangerous, and I am aware of it so I usually can restart or pop the clutch to get it going.
I have even had to heel-toe it a few times.
It seems like once restarted or "saved" it runs like normal again.
I am hoping it is not the IACV as this car is a highport with ABS...so that is a mofo to change.
I dont want to start changing parts out that are a bitch to get to if I dont have to.

coolant temp sensor or a bad ground on one or more off the engine grounds.

hmm theres a grounding kit on this car so there is alot of grounds to the engine. I will look at that.
how would the CTS cause a stalling issue when the car is warmed up?

To me this reads like classic IACV problems. I had a B12 that would do this just like you describe but it would not fast idle and would stall at every stop sign. It was a CA18DE and it was in South Africa so there was like no chance of getting a replacement. I just got used to blipping the throttle at stop signs and holding the gas when warming up in the morning. Overall it really improved my footwork a lot.

My car used to do that. I put a new IACV and it fixed the problem. Some people say that u can clean the IACV, but I tried that with the old one and it did not work out. A new one should fix it. Also, clean your MAF.
