b14 avenir swap issues - no start up
everything is wired right, but all my dash gauge warning lights are on. When i use the obd diagnostic tool the only issue that pops up is the coolant sensor and intake temp. error. when i turn the key nothing starts. Battery and starter is good.

nothing starts like what? turn key and nothing, no click sort of nothing?

sounds like a relay or fuse. easiest to check fuse before relay.

Did you use all the US sensors from your engine?

Yes im using US Sensors. What i forgot to add was im using the 1.6 main harness (Not the 1.6 engine or starter harness) and i dont know if that makes a difference. It was an automatic 1.6.

Sound like you don't have something plugged in.

I would start by taking a DVOM (Digital Volt Ohm Meter) and verify that you are getting the 12volt starter signal at the starter. Based on your other post, you might need to go back and verify that everything is plugged in.

Fell free to PM me and I can help walk you through it over the phone.

Was the car a 1.6 auto converted to a manual?

Yes it was.

Did you install a turbo timer? Sometimes the harness adapters are not wired correctly. If you did, bypass it and try again.

Then there is a switch on the harness going to the shifter that tells the ECU that it is in Park or Neutral and will allow the car to start. It's similar to how you have to push the clutch in to start.

Any chance you would have a pic of it?
