Help identify this connector
Sorry, no pics at the moment, but want to see if someone could help me identify this connector. I put my head back on yesterday and almost have everything finished up, but I can't seem to find where this one connector goes. I will try to describe it as best I can and will get a pic tonight if this mystery goes unsolved, but I'm sure someone on here can figure this out. It could be that after working on my car for 12 hours I'm just not thinking clearly...

This connector is off of the harness that also has the injector plugs and sits on top of the fuel rail. It's just a single wire connector that looks very similar to the knock sensor connector and it has one of those metal clips that lock the connector in place... but it is not the knock sensor, I've got that hooked up.

If you have a 200SX SER andl if it sits off of the injs plug harness it is the knock sensor plug Black plug

if not it is for your fast idle - cold start valve which sits under the plunum by the inj rail light grey-blue plug

Its the knock sensor, you probably have the coolant temp connected to the knock sensor. What color is the wire?

Thx for the input.. yes it's a 200sx SE-R with a VE...

I'm pretty positive it's not the knock sensor connector as I have the knock sensor hooked up and, although, it is a similar style connector it's keyed so that it only fits where it's supposed to go. It's a white wire.

I'm thinking that it's one of these, but this diagram is not quite the same for the VE.

I was working by flashlight last night, so I plan on jacking it up and crawling underneath to get a better look later today.

Ok, so the connector did go to the knock sensor and I had the wrong one on there... which is why it had come disconnected when I looked at it today. So what I was looking for was actually the fast idle I believe as Miko pointed out.

Here's the connector I couldn't find yesterday...

Here it is from the side, just underneath the TPS. And btw, what should this vacuum line be connected to?

lol, I was wondering about that, it didn't seem to make any difference when I plugged it in and I was trying to think if I had it capped off before or what...

you'd have to drill a hole in the intake manifold an put a fitting in, then do some kind T fitting off the iacv hose or some shit... idk.. it'd be a pain in the ass, it is not needed, tons an tons of guys running without it!

Nobody runs with the electric cold start valve because the VE has a mechanical cold start valve that is part of the TB.
