Texas Girl Needs HELP :( ..... RPM Acting Up BAD..!
Hey Guys Erika Here well was wondering if anyone had ever had a similar issue
did some research but it all seemed to be incomplete
and don't know what to troubleshoot anymore

Issue is: the RPM drop suddenly both while driving or at idle with or without A/C on
while at a light or parked or in traffic its so bad sometimes the car turns off
while driving I could be doing 80mph and the same suddenly RPM Drop
(issue is more apparent when car reaches normal operating temp. but still does it when cold from time to time)
sometimes it drops just ones and sometimes a few times consecutively

will post a video in a few

Got a 1998 Sentra SE

Is your CEL on? Have you plugged in a diagnostic scanner and checked for fault codes?

Thats the issue no codes have been given, figured an issue like that would surely give me something
used a regular scanner, ECU Talk, Nissan Data Scan, and OBD Scantech even did it manually but Nothing

What was the very last thing you did before this happened? Have you checked all of the connections at the battery/alternator? Could be a loose connection or weak ground? Have you checked the voltages for batt./alt.? Have you checked ALL of your engine grounds?

yes all grounds have been checked none were loose or missing and the older ones were redone just in case
the last thing i did before this happened was change the alternator because it was not charging the battery anymore
but i already put it back the way it was and the problem remained so then i bought a new one and it still does the same thing
even replaced the battery to a new one

Check the alternator switch. Make sure you have a ground and 12v KOEO. Other than that I'd check my maf and my tps if the alternator checks out. What does it feel like when it loses rpms? Is it a hard miss or does the motor shut down for a split second?

start at the basics and clean the throttle body... Mine did this without throwing a code when my IACV went bad
