Thread: clutch decisions

Hey guys, so im looking to buy a new clutch for my nx. My dilema is i dont kno wat brand or stage to get. Its my daily driver, so i dont really need an agressive clutch. I have basic boltons i/h/e. Theres a local 1/4 mile dragstrip that i go to with my buddies, so id like to get a clutch that will b able to handle some runs w/o having to replace it anytime soon.I was currently running a jgy six puck and lightened flywheel, but dnt wanna go back to that, i feel its too heavy of a clutch. Any ideas. Your input and opinions will b greatly appreciated. thnx

That should be all the clutch you will ever need if you are not abusive to it.
Alot of guys run this setup even on VE cars.

Stay away from Exedy or ACT, btw I think JGY is just another company rebadged

i also have a question... what is the diamameter size of the b15 clutch disc? and does it have 24 teeth? I have clutch disc from my tranny but i'm just wondering because it is bigger from the other clutch disc which only have 18 teeth. so i just thought that b15 clutch disc would be same as i'm planning to get one.

teeth describes the flywheel not clutch

Agree an disagree... I dont kike act but exedy is stock for our cars, I've installed many of em an so far haven't had anyone have any issues

what i referring is the inner teeth there is 18 and 24, i have both 24 teeth have a larger diameter and 18 teeth so i guess i know what i'm talking about.

i think they are both great clutches, i always ran act back in the day without any issues
