Thread: P10 5th in a B14 trans

I am not 100% sure, I was told before doing my swap that the non LSD and LSD gears were not interchangeable. I can only verify that keeping all LSD parts in the tranny works.

Lam-park sonce the input gears are both 45t why cant you swap only the output gear over?

This was my first attempt at taking a trans apart,so I am not sure what went wrong because it all went together easily.....

I put the trans back in the car and it shifts great but has some whining n every gear now.It seems to get worse in higher gears

I have only driven it around the neigborhood and up the road a few times to get into 5th for a bit.

any input on this would be great,I still need to pull the trans back out

Did you put gear oil in?

The last trans I tore apart an put back together did the same whining thing, I think all I changed was the 5th stuff an differential but nothin I hadn't done before.. I drove it like that a few months, after the first day it got a lot quieter but right before my 6spd swap it started whining again in 5th.

Didn't bother lookin into it tho sorry.
