For the 2% of the time where 100% importance of the car utilizing any and all grip available; there is a difference. (Albeit the difference does not suit 98% of the people registered on this forum)

I am more interested in more info such as price, availability, group buy maybe, Etc.... I looked on Quaife USA web site and they do not have the new unit listed on there so I sent them an e-mail to ask for more information. Maybe this can spawn a group buy. But if I start it, I cannot help it by fronting money. That would be up to the rest of the forum.

I am interested in getting one, the catalog for 2013 listed the MSRP at 660 Euros which which equal about $860 USD.

EDIT: "The QUAIFE patented Automatic Torque Biasing (ATB) differential is designed to prevent the complete loss of drive that occurs with a conventional differential when one wheel slips. Whilst requiring some torque in the slipping wheel, the QUAIFE unit is progressive in action but never locks - controlled power is transmitted to all the driving wheels. Ideally suited to high powered front wheel drive systems, QUAIFE ATB differentials are also used in rear and four wheel drive vehicles where optimum traction is required. Installation is identical to the normal differential with bearing pre-loads and pinion mesh being restored to the original manufacturers' settings. Servicing of the unit is simple as all gear pinions are free fitting and normal final drive lubrication oils are retained."

I think thats the british pound symbol and not the euro

Whats the deal with getting the 32V diff back in production? I think most of us on this side of the world have 32V equipped vehicles.

The diff will be nice to have for guys looking to run a 70A box on a turbo vehicle.

If I understand this correctly... They have 32V diffs on the shelf also...

Re: Want a Quaife HLSD?
When I spoke to them the back end of last year they had 15 or so for the 32v on the shelf, and 9 for the 70v.

These numbers will likely have changed by now so again its worth speaking to them it only takes a 5 minute phone call.

Vendor Option

At current wholesale pricing, a purchase price of $1000 would not be doable... going vendor direct on the other hand could be a whole other story.

Anyone know if they make one for the 6speed box? From which cars is the 6spd box? I'd don't mind contacting them but I need the info.

in aus we had a guy do a write up on whats available ( its a few years old now)...

There are other LSD options availible for this gearbox, but the factory nissan unit is the best priced for a 'known' quality at around ~$520USD.

Other diffs available include:

OBX (aftermarket manufacturer). Prone to failure by many reports and precision machining issues. Cheap, but you get what you pay for, ~$349USD + shipping. Helical Design. While the issues are not with 'every unit' there is plenty of information regarding the problems people have faced. I'd prefer longjevity especially with the cost of a replacement gearbox.

Quaife also make their "ATB (automatic torque bias)" diff for this gearbox. It is also a helical design, but could differ to the nissan unit by allowing a higher torque bias ratio, but this difference is unkown and untested so i'll stick with the nissan item. The Quaife is 650GBP so its not a cheap unit.

Road and Race Motorsports in the USA (from what i've read with limited info i have found) modify a factory Nissan LSD to perform better. No detail is availible that i've found, but i can only imagine they have increased the torque bias ratio or played with the preload. ~USD$799

38411-8U000 - Helical LSD assy for RS6F51A gearbox.....now someone had one of those diffs for sale somewhere last week ( hate i can't remember where is was now)...
