Thread: Sr20ve upper oil pan differences

Hey guys

I recently have a sr20ve 20v which unfortunately has cracks on the upper oil pan. I woud like to get this replaced but are there differences as from memory, there are 3-4 different types of oil pan with similar bolt patterns and designs.


I was wondering what I can use to replace the oil pan to ensure it is a bolt on affair.



The one on the right is the most similar but unsure if the bolt patterns will line up.

You can use pretty much any SR upper oil pain, except for the old narrow block ones, though those are a rarity in the US anyway.
However, if you use the upper oil pan with this style of baffle (not sure if they come on any motor other than the SR16VE), make sure to remove the baffle, as supposedly it may come in contact with the crank on an SR20VE.
