Increasing bore with torqueplate, headstud questions
Right,

I need to have my VE bored again (to 87mm), this time with the use of a torqueplate.

I will be using some Golden Eagle headstuds for my build. However, I'm not sure which way to go to torque the torqueplate.

Do I:

- use the BNIB GE headstuds, torque them to the GE specs, and then re-use them on my build? Will this diminish the performance of the headstuds?
- use the BNIB GE headstuds, but torque them to factory specs, and then re-use them on my build?
- use the stock headstuds, torque them to factory specs, and then use the BNIB GE headstuds on my build?
- use the stock headstuds, but torque them to the GE specs, and then use the BNIB GE headstuds on my build?

I would use the GE head studs torqued to GE specs and re-use them on your build. Head studs are re-useable. Plus you will want to use the same setup you are going to run on the engine to get the optimal use of the torque plate. I'm sure you could use the stock head bolts with the stock head bolt specs and be ok but I would be safe and use what you are going to use on the engine as there is no reason to worry about re-using head studs.
