and yeah, like i said before, an others have said, might be the alt.

I really think the wire went to that 8mm bolt and it came loose. as to where the other end goes, I'll have to see tomorrow.

The wire on that bolt is ground, touching metal would do nothing. I'm still going with voltage reg in the alt!

EDIT: I believe Storm is pointing out one of the outer housing bolts. Not the same.

Ok, so you think the alternator is just bad and I need a new one.

I'm not a mechanic, I just play one online.

I had a Ford Probe years ago, the voltage reg in the alt was over-volting making the wipers go faster and blowing headlights. That's my best educated guess, but you should pull it and take it to be tested.

If the alt checks out then it's on to other possibilities....

I think your right, it prob is the alternator.

It's the alternator. Ordering a new one tomorrow, car should be ready to go next week this time.

So I got a new fuse box at the junkyard and a new battery fuse for like 5 bucks total. Where the heck are the locks on to get the wires out?
