blue bird or ve? new to this still
I always wanted a bluebird but it seems like the ve is the new wave, so should i just buy a ve head and put it on my lower end since i have 2 spare motors and I have turbo&manifold n piping but not sure wat else w ould i need. Im new to this so bare w/ me dnt kno it all but w/ ur help it can point me in the rite direction. Thanks in advance

Be aware that you'll need to tap the block for the oil feed to a VE head, as it needs it to activate VVL

Thanks sentraga. Do u think i should just buy the complete motor? N how does it with stand the boost w/o any internal work?

General consensus is 18-20psi on a good tune for a stock VE. You'll find good information in that thread.

And yes, I think you should just get a complete VE.
A head alone will run you half of what a complete engine costs...

For daily driving I would keep the boost around 12 psi all depending on manifold, turbo and injector selection. A good tune is the most important thing, not a generic one like a JWT. Get a tuneable ecu and get it on the dyno
