Sr20VE no spark
Hi all.
I took my engine out to fix my crank and flywheel that got hosed (previous owner used the wrong bolts and spacer grrr).
Anyways, when we put the engine back in now there is no spark. We checked the harness going into the distributor and it has 12V with iginition on, on one of the wires.
My issue is that I'd say 80% of the connectors on the engine are not used / cut off. So I'm not sure which ones are required...
It's a race car, so the ECU is just there to run the engine and that's all, no dash, no lights nothing.
We have the MAF connected, the throttle position sensor connected, the distributor connected and that's about all. I know there is a crank sensor on the tranny but it was never connected. Should there be a crank sensor elsewhere? I know that won't give spark but I could see that being issue 2 if we figure out spark.
We marked the timing before removing the distributor but it could be way off right? Is there any type of wiring diagram available I could look at???
