Thoughts on Gspec thermal gaskets
So yeah i'm not the type that buys all the hype about a product. I try and understand it and see if it really benefits me to use a certain product. This time around, its about the thermal gaskets (both intake and exhaust) found on gspec.com
So my question is if anyone's had any first hand experience with these gaskets and what their opinions are about em.
These are my thoughts:
On the intake side, I could understand you wouldn't want excessive heat build up since this will affect the air coming in (cooler with thermal gasket). I've seen a few reviews WITH dyno results on thermal gaskets on the intake side, but there seems to be no comment on its effect on the exhaust side.
Since it gets real hot in the cylinder head... You wouldn't want all that heat to focus on one spot. This is what (i'd expect) you'd get since the heat isn't distributed through more material such as the exhaust manifold. More heat in the cylinder head means higher risks of detonation or warping of the head, etc etc
Now I could be completely wrong on the exhaust part, so someone, plz enlighten me
