Air Regulator proper operation?
Is the purpose of the air regulator: to open wide open when cold, to supply the motor with the extra air it needs when the IACV calls for the high cold idle?
When the motor is warm the valve should close some but still allow plenty of air so the car can idle?
My Air regulator is almost totally clogged when warm. Car started having issues stalling when coming to a stop and also stalling when trying to set idle with tps unplugged and screw all the way out.
For now I bypassed the air regulator and all is well with the car (SO FAR)
I am going to assume it will still idle fine when cold because it has plenty of air supply. Am I going to run into any issues without it? Why does Nissan use it then?
