Thread: Top feed fuel rail install help

Ok that makes sense i had a JGY fuel rail not JWT perhaps someone with more knowledge will chime in soon and help you out but like i said i've seen people use these with no clips

If no one else knows, then I'm going to go w/the first clip of the 3 I posted earlier and try it out. I think that will make a wide base for the clip to make it so the injectors won't push past the point the clip goes onto the injector. Kinda like the pic on my 2nd post, but without the advantage of being locked in by the rail edge.

It seems those clips provide 2 purposes: to limit how far the injector goes into the rail and also to 'retain' or lock it onto the rail so it doesn't come out. Looks like w/the JWT rail I'll only have 1 of the 2 advantages.

You'll just need new thicker o-rings. Yeah, only the jgy uses those clips.

Any recommendations on o-rings?

its very simple. the bottom of the msd inj should sit in the rubber bushing on the lower plenum. then the upper oring is 14mm which the jwt rail should be the same 14mm. clips arent always needed. but its like u said the clip will make sure the injectors sit at the right height in the rail.

14mm, that works. I think this is all the info I needed. Looking forward to getting these installed.

Here it is. Those clips on a JWT fuel rail. Just tried it and it fits and works PERFECTLY for what I wanted it for.

looks good. i usually use the bottom clip u pictured and just flip it around if a clip is needed at all.
