Are these the Direzzas you speak of? Dunlop*Direzza DZ101

Not too bad, $328 a set or about $82 each

Both of those tires are going to suck at that, and likely self-destruct in doing so.

Trust me, i've cheaped out on tires before, and it ended up costing me more money than if i had bought proper autocross summer tires instead.

Damnit, someone told me about how they were great value for the monet, but I should have I known was too good to be true. So what cost range are you thinking?

Oh they're a great value if your idea of a performance tire is something that grips better than an OE tire when you go around an on-ramp.

I'm a little behind on the new tires that are coming out (Dunlop ZII, Bridgestone RE11A, BfGoodrich Rival, etc.). The XS are a good choice on a budget for dry use. Vanilla RE11s were pretty much the king as far as dry/wet/manners go, and you can probably get a closeout set at a discounted price since the RE11A is out now. The Falken RT-615K is also a good standby.

What's difficult for you is the 16" size, not all of the "good" tires that i can reccomend for 15"s are available in a B13 friendly 16". And they're all more expensive. You could probably come in under $100 a tire by switching to 15"s.

Yes those are the ones I use for my daily use. which consists of a 35 mile winding backroad commute one way.50-70mph most of the way
I have pushed them pretty hard in "spirited" driving, and I really like them.
Definately not a race tire.
One thing I love is the HUGE rimguard on these tires
They are decent in the rain, but I live in FL so they wont see snow or freezing temps.

oh, I have both. I have 15" rota slipstreams and 16" Konigs. I can put whatever tire on whichever rim and on whichever car (92 SE-R VE or 97 SE-R DE, though the DE is much slower)

I have those Nankang 195/55/15 on the Rotas right now on the 92 SE-R and they are really really bad. Terrible, just terrible.

Haven't read the replies.
Jordan, if I were you, I'd be looking at the BFG Rival, Dunlop Direzza ZII, or the Kumho XS. Or maybe Nitto NT-05. Stay away from the Hankook Ventus R-S3.
